About the Artist

Robert Edwards

Artist Statement
“I work with rare and highly figured woods that carry their own stories — cracks, voids, color shifts, and organic movement. My process is a collaboration with the material, preserving its natural history through resin stabilization and shaping it into sculptural forms that balance refinement with raw beauty. Each piece is finished by hand to a smooth surface, inviting touch and emphasizing the depth within the grain. My work is functional art, created to bring warmth, texture, and a sense of natural elegance into contemporary spaces.”
